While I'm eager to connect, please note that the type of writing, editing, and consulting work I do requires deep thought and attention to detail, and the preparation and follow-up required for teaching and speaking take a lot of time, energy, and cognitive and emotional bandwidth. To serve current clients with excellence and enthusiasm, I take my physical and mental health seriously and do not push myself beyond my zone of competence on any given day or within any given week or month.
So, it may take me a few days to reply. This is not a sign of my lack of interest in your project or lack of respect for your time. In fact, I hope you see this as a demonstration of my commitment to being fully present and respecting your investment should we decide to enter into a client-service provider financial relationship or strategic partnership.

Stop. While I respect anyone who demonstrates commitment to building their business and serving others with high-quality products and services, do not attempt to initiate contact because:
- I do extensive research on the products and services I need and anticipate needing. Be discoverable to me when I go looking for you and demonstrate your subject-matter expertise and verifiable results, and I may contact you when the time is right for me.
- My current contracted clients deserve and have paid for my time, energy, and cognitive and emotional bandwidth. Work on their projects and the administrative demands of running of a sustainable business are my priority.
Again, I appreciate the thought you put into pitching me specifically (assuming there was any). I wish you well, especially if this type of marketing creates anxiety for you because you empathize with people like me and my clients for reasons mentioned above. My first "real job" was as a telemarketer, so I empathize with you too and hope that you have as peaceful and productive of a day as possible.
